The Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps is dispatched by the Nassau County Fire Communications. Our ambulances are staffed with Paramedics and/or EMT- Critical Care Technicians who provide Advanced Medical Care. With in house crews, WLVAC ensures a faster response time when dispatched to an emergency call.

The Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps continues to provides non-emergency ALS and BLS transportation to and from local hospitals for residents of the Levittown and Wantagh communities.

A transport is considered “non-emergency” if a does not require immediate management of life, limb or function-threatening conditions.

The Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps is always willing to help our surrounding departments, both near and far, by offering standby crews for both district and event coverage.

WLVAC also provides an ambulance on stand-by for a variety of events including Awareness Walks at Jones Beach, the Town of Hempstead Veterans Salute and Fireworks Show at Point Lookout Beach, and the Annual Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show at Jones Beach.

WLVAC is proud to assist local and state organizations with ambulance coverage and info tables at events such as WBAB and 106.1 BLI’s Touch-A-Truck, Levittown Community Council’s Lazy Days of Summer and Winterfest events, Levittown Special Events Car Cruise and Outdoor Movie Nights, and many more.
